Welcome to Baltimore and the 35th Annual Conference of the American Association of Medical Society Executives! On behalf of the Board of Directors I want to express our thanks and appreciation to conference chair Mike Fraser, vice chair Loretta Ponesse, and the entire conference program committee for planning a content- rich meeting with diverse topics and expert speakers. We must also recognize our colleagues from MedChi, the Maryland State Medical Society, for their hospitality and commitment to ensuring that each of our senses experiences the Best of Baltimore!

In addition to the program and networking opportunities, our conference provides valuable opportunities for us to interact with our business partners in the Exhibit Hall. Our exhibitors and sponsors offer resources to benefit our associations and our members. Their support of our conference is invaluable.

2016 marks the 70th anniversary of AAMSE! I am so pleased that you have decided to join us for this milestone. We have a great deal to celebrate and I look forward to sharing with you our achievements during the past year and what we have in store for the year ahead. AAMSE is fortunate to have a dedicated Board, diligent committee chairs and members, and talented staff. All of us work together to provide the highest quality programs and services to meet the needs of medical society staff which enable us to best serve our physician members.

It has been an honor to serve as your President during the past year. Thank you for your support, participation and dedication to our profession. I look forward to raising a glass with each of you as we recognize the achievements of the past and prepare for the opportunities on the horizon.
